Abstract

Information and Communication Technology (ICT) is an important element in the development of an educational organization. Leaders in educational organization play an important role in ensuring effective application of ICT in the organization. Review of previous studies  (Siva Rabindarang, Khuan Wai Bing, & Khoo Yin Yin, 2014) shows that  there is a moderate level of technology leadership among  college vocational leaders. Therefore, there is a need to update the research. The objectives of this study are to identify the level of technology leadership of the leaders and relationship between technology leadership and the effectiveness of ICT usage among colleges vocational lecturers. To collect data, questionnaires were distributed to 388 lecturers in center zone college vocational, Malaysia. They were selected randomly. The data were analyzed using Statistical Package for the Social Science (SPSS) version 25. The descriptive statistical methods, such as mean and standard deviation, were used to identify the level of technology leadership among college vocational learders. Meanwhile, the statistical inference method, were analyzed using Structural Equation Modelling (SEM-AMOS) version 25 to identify the relationship between technology leadership and the effectiveness of ICT usage among college vocational lecturers. Pearson Correlation was used to identify whether there is a significant correlation between the technology leadership and the effectiveness of   ICT usage among college vocational lecturers. The findings  showed that the level of technology leadership among college vocational learders was high when the mean score exceeds 6.68. Furthermore, the results of Pearson Correlation showed that there is a positive relationship between technology leadership and the effectiveness of   ICT usage among  college vocational lecturers when p>0.05. These findings showed the importance of professional development programs for educational leaders to practice technology leadership styles to achieve the goal  of educational organization.
