Abstract

One of the keys to getting a high quality study is through an instrument that has high validity and reliability. Therefore, this study more geared to test the validity and reliability of an effective supervisory instrument that involves three main constructs which are motivation of teachers, teachers' professional development and teacher performance. The instrument has been carried out various types of tests, namely a) Translation with 'back to back technique; b) Review by colleagues and supervisors; c) Confirmation and comments from experts; d) Assessment of the clarity of the items; e) Assessment of internal consistency reliability; f) Assessment of construct validity through exploratory factor analysis (EFA). Sampling consisted of 205 teachers. The study found that only 23 items were retained from the 30 items tested.
