Abstract

This study focuses on School Leadership and Lifelong Learning within the Primary School Teachers of Dungun District. The purpose of this study is to identify the best actions of school leaders in assisting teachers to follow LLL and to see the level of acceptance of interest in LLL among teachers. 306 samples were selected and 306 questionnaires were distributed among Dungun‘s primary schools. The results of the data collection showed that the headmaster level of leadership were on a high level but there was also an item that showed the mean of a medium level; in terms of financial management of LLL. For the level of acceptance of LLL interest among teachers, one item was in the moderate level; related to the lack of financial allocation, access to facilities and time constraints in carrying LLL. This shows that financial issues as well as access to facilities in developing the LLL programs among teachers were the obstacles in executing the LLL program. Therefore, as a school leader; headmaster, should take the most appropriate action to ensure the disclosure of financial management are given to the teachers. The headmaster should supply opportunities for teachers to engage themselves in lifelong learning. In addition, to ensure that the school leaders have a better understanding on the whole aspect of LLL, they are advised to engage in the whole process of LLL by furthering their study to the next level; either formal or informal. This is in line with the policy of the Malaysia Education Development Plan; Higher Education Blueprint (2015-2025); to involve people in lifelong learning and improve the mastery of knowledge.
