Continuous education for the younger generation, particularly children, is necessary to understand the concept of knowing one's true self. This is because, the entertainment content of animated films nowadays, is seen to be increasingly uncontrolled through websites, social media or broadcasts on TV screens with a variety of manners from foreign countries that do not match the values of the plural society in this country. Therefore, this article aims to analyse the practice of a pluralistic society in Malaysia that focuses on relationships with God, fellow human beings and nature in the animated film Upin and Ipin from an Islamic perspective. From a methodological point of view, this qualitative study uses library research and data content analysis to analyse animated films that were watched. The results of the study found that the animated series Upin and Ipin is suitable as viewing material for children because it can display positive content about the unity of a harmonious plural society and is still centred on the teachings of Islam as the official religion in Malaysia.
