Abstract

The aims of this study are to identify: (1) the leadership characteristics of an effective school principal, and (2) the best leadership practices for an effective school principal. The respondents of this qualitative designed case study included a school principal, six school teachers, ten students and four members of the Teachers and Parents Association. Results indicated that collaboration among all parties of the school communities, including the principal, teachers, parents and students as well as the Education Departments helps the school to become an effective school.
