Manuscript Preparation

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  •  The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  •  The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  •  Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  •  The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  •  The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
  •  If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in Ensuring a Blind Review have been followed.

Contributions are accepted on the understanding that the authors have obtained the necessary authority for publication. Manuscripts will be subjected to the screening for plagiarism and blind peer review processes prior to publication. Upon acceptance of the manuscripts by the journal, the authors will be asked to transfer the copyright of the article to the publisher. This transfer will ensure the widest possible dissemination of information.

SIMULTANEOUS SUBMISSION AND PREVIOUS PUBLICATION

Previously published work, or work which is substantially similar to previously published work, is ordinarily not acceptable. If in doubt about these requirements, contact the editors.

Contributors will be notified whether their manuscripts have been accepted after the review process is completed. If changes are required, authors are furnished with comments from the editors and the international review board. The editors are responsible for all final decisions on editorial changes.
