Abstract

 Indigenous children's education is one of the key agendas in enhancing the quality of national education. The issue of drop-outs, out-of-school and low literacy and numeracy levels among indigenous children continues to be highlighted to ensure that they receive an appropriate education. This paper aims to identify children's intelligence elements based on indigenous intellectualism using the Fuzzy Delphi approach. Children’s intelligence based on indigenous intellectualism is an initiative that can be considered in the effort to develop the potential of indigenous children and following by strengthening the identity and unique characteristic of the indigenous generation. 12 experts from indigenous children education, early childhood education lecturers and indigenous teachers were selected to analyse the expert consensus fuzziness. The findings show that intelligence based on indigenous intellectualism includes Natural Intelligence, Practical Intelligence, Music Intelligence, Kinesthetic Intelligence, Creative Intelligence and Visual-Space Intelligence and Mathematical Logic. Meanwhile, the indigenous intellectuals that support the development of this child's intelligence are woodcarving, language and figurative, handcrafted artwork, herbal medicine, dance and song, fairy tales and the folklore of the indigenous community as well as the traditions and taboo of the indigenous people.
