Abstract

Rapid advancement in technology today has induced Malaysia to change from conventional learning system to a technology based learning system such as the use of smartphones. Therefore, the use of Quick Response Codes (QR) has the potential to be explored in this area of study to obtain information on herbal health. This article discusses a study to provide information to educators about the extent to which technology QR codes can be used for educational purposes to the knowledge of herbal health. Respondents who participated in this study consisted of students from Institutes of Higher Education in Malaysia. Data was collected from questionnaires.The findings showed that most respondents declared that learning through QR codes is convenient where each item related to the learning context obtained a percentage higher than 85%. The study also indicated that the use of technology QR codes provides positive effect on the respondents interest where the percentage was over 90%. Statistical data shows that there is a significant relationship between the use of QR codes to facilitate learning and interest in herbal health learning. Overall the study observed that learning to use QR codes for herbal health is effective and could provide a positive impact on learning and increasing the knowledge of medicinal herbs among respondents.The use of QR Codes is expected to be expanded for learning purposes.
