Abstract

Prophetic educational methods are important for teachers to carry out their educational duty. The Prophet Muhammad was the first teacher of humanity and the guide to the law of Islam. Therefore, this study aims to identify the extent to which teachers use prophetic methods . The researchers collected educational methods from the Sunnah of the Prophet Muhammad, and divided it into seven dimensions: preparation of the learner to receive knowledge, recitation, dialogue, method of questioning, use of educational aids, method of reinforcement and practical application. The descriptive approach was used to identify the extent to which the Prophet's educational methods were used from the point of view of Islamic education teachers. A questionnaire was distributed to measure this among (101) teachers of Islamic education for the secondary stage in the city of Hodeidah . The results showed that all methods were applied to a high degree by teachers of Islamic education, and there were statistically significant differences between the opinions of male and female teachers in the use of all prophetic educational methods . In light of these results, the researchers recommended continuous work on educational courses that qualify all teachers to use these methods and educate them about the effectiveness of using them in the classroom .
