Empowering the Autism-Community

Abstract

Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) affects roughly 1 in 100 children worldwide, and in Malaysia, the National Autism Society estimates over 300,000 individuals live on the spectrum. Behind these numbers are families searching for tools that help their loved ones communicate, learn, and belong. Increasingly, that help is coming from computer science through assistive AI, communication apps, and inclusive design that centres autistic users from the first sketch.
