Artifical Intelligence (AI) Policy

Authors

Authors who choose to use Generative AI tools are required to do so responsibly and in compliance with the journal’s publishing ethics policies.

Any use of Generative AI must be explicitly disclosed within the manuscript. The disclosure statement should specify the full name of the tool used (including the version), the purpose for which it was employed, and the manner in which it contributed to the work.

For submitted manuscripts, this disclosure must appear in either the Methods or Acknowledgments section.

Such transparency enables the editors to evaluate whether Generative AI tools have been applied appropriately. The journal retains full discretion regarding the acceptance or rejection of submissions, ensuring that academic integrity and editorial guidelines are fully observed.

Editors

Editors are entrusted with safeguarding the quality, integrity, and confidentiality of scholarly content. All details related to manuscript submission and peer review must therefore remain confidential.

The use of Generative AI tools to handle unpublished materials may pose risks to confidentiality, intellectual property, and data protection. Accordingly, editors must not upload unpublished manuscripts or any related materials—such as files, images, or supplementary information—into Generative AI systems.

Editors are required to consult the Editor-in-Chief before using any Generative AI tools, unless prior authorization has already been granted for a specific tool and use case.

Peer Reviewers

Peer reviewers, as subject-matter experts, must not use Generative AI tools to analyse, evaluate, or summarise submitted manuscripts or any part thereof when preparing their reviews. Reviewers are also prohibited from uploading unpublished manuscripts, research proposals, or any associated materials into Generative AI systems.

Generative AI tools may be used solely to assist with language refinement of the review text. However, peer reviewers remain fully accountable for the content, accuracy, and ethical standards of their reviews.
