Special Issue – Journal of Al-Tamaddun (JAT)

The Journal of Al-Tamaddun (JAT) welcomes proposals for Special Issues that are consistent with the journal’s aims and scope. We encourage scholarly initiatives that seek to advance focused and original discussions within the broader field of Islamic history and Islamic civilization.

All proposals for Special Issues are subject to careful consideration and approval by the Editorial Board. The Board evaluates each proposal to ensure thematic coherence, academic relevance, and contribution to the intellectual direction of the journal. A Special Issue is intended to provide a dedicated forum for sustained scholarly engagement with a specific theme of significance.

Manuscripts submitted for inclusion in a Special Issue are assessed through the same rigorous editorial and peer-review procedures applied to regular submissions. Each article is evaluated independently on its scholarly merit, methodological soundness, originality, and contribution to the field. Inclusion in a Special Issue does not guarantee publication; only manuscripts that meet the journal’s academic standards will be accepted.

In evaluating proposals and submissions, the Editorial Board will place particular emphasis on the scholarly quality of the manuscripts, their substantive contribution to knowledge, and the diversity of authorship, including meaningful representation from different continents.

JAT remains committed to maintaining the highest standards of scholarly quality. Accordingly, all submissions, whether for regular or Special Issues, undergo a comprehensive review process to ensure academic integrity and excellence. Any applicable publication fees are charged only after formal acceptance of the articles.

The journal adheres strictly to established principles of publication ethics and upholds transparency, integrity, and responsibility in all aspects of its editorial practice.

We appreciate the continued support and scholarly contributions to Journal of Al-Tamaddun.
