ISLAM AND INTELLECTUAL SCIENCES
Abstract
Islam recognizes the important of sciences as a tool to achieve success and perfection. In order to achieve that level, Islam teaches its followers about the universe and this world through various verses in the Quran. It is a guidance for humankind to achieve highest level in their life. This article discusses the intellectual sciences in Islam from Quranic and Hadith perspectives, wisdom and its development as well as to demonstrate the perspective of western scholars on the developmen of sciences in Islam.
