Journal of Al-Tamaddun (JAT) is an open-access, peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Islamic History and Civilization, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. JAT published high-quality research articles and book reviews within the scope of Islamic History and Civilization.

Volume 18 No. 1 (2023) of JAT was available online on 19 June 2023 with 21 full length papers and 2 book review. Articles in this issue were authored by 55 authors from multiple affiliations and 11 countries i.e: Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Pakistan, USA, Germany, and Kazakhstan.
