Journal of Al-Tamaddun (JAT) is an open-access, peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Islamic History and Civilization, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. JAT published high-quality research articles and book reviews within the scope of Islamic History and Civilization.

Volume 18 No. 2 (2023) of JAT was available online on 31 December 2023 with 20 full length papers and 2 book review. Articles in this issue were authored by 55 authors from multiple affiliations and 9 countries i.e: Malaysia, Indonesia, Sudan, Iran, Turkiye, Saudi Arabia, Kazakhstan, Morocco and Jordan.
