Publication Schedule

The Journal of Usuluddin (JUD) operates under a well-defined and consistently maintained publication schedule, established to uphold academic reliability, editorial excellence, and the prompt circulation of scholarly contributions.

The journal follows a biannual publication model, issuing two numbers annually within a single volume for each calendar year, structured as follows:

  • Issue 1: published by the end of June

  • Issue 2: published by the end of December

This biannual framework has been in place since 1993, marking a strategic shift to strengthen editorial oversight, enhance peer review quality, and improve publication management. Before adopting this model, JUD was issued three times per year.

All published issues are available exclusively through the journal’s full open-access platform, providing immediate, unrestricted access upon publication. Although the journal adheres to this schedule as its primary publication schedule, the editorial board retains the discretion to release special issues or themed collections when there is strong academic justification, without disrupting the regular publication cycle.

The editorial office is responsible for ensuring that all accepted manuscripts progress through peer review, revision, and production processes in alignment with the established publication timeline.
