Abstract

This research is done in order to analyze the extend and depth of the aspects of reproductive health education in the Special Education of Learning Difficulties Curriculum, Ministry of Education Malaysia. The syllabus and its deliberation for both primary and secondary included all four scopes of the curriculum were analyzed using the Human Sexuality Circle from Life Planning Education, Advocates for Youth, (1995). This was also used as a guide in indentifying these particular reproductive health education aspects. The research findings indicated that there are aspects of reproductive health education across the Special Education of Learning Difficulties curriculum. Even though all scopes in the curriculum showed aspects of reproductive health education in it, scope of living skills showed the highest aspects of reproductive health education compared to others. This curriculum also less emphasized in sexual health and reproductive component and sexualisation matter such as sex abuse, sumbang mahram and others.
