Abstract

Cyber is part of human needs and cyber law was built to prevent user from using this source in an unethical way. This study aims to identify the implementation level of cyber laws in school among secondary school students in the District of Kerian. The objectives of the study include the implementation of cyber law in school, students' awareness, ethics on cyber laws and the monitoring of cyber laws implementation as well as the challenges and the improvement that can be conducted in the implementation of the cyber laws in school. This study uses survey instruments in the form of structured questionnaires with Likert Scale. A total of 140 respondents were randomly selected from secondary schools in Kerian District, Perak. The data were analyzed using the Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) version 21 to find frequency, percentage, mean, and standard deviation. The result showed that the implementation of cyber laws in secondary schools in Kerian district is at high level. Respondents also agreed that the use of cyber source have many advantages and could have a positive impact on learning outcomes but should be constantly monitored to prevent cybercrime.
