KEMURUNGAN DALAM KALANGAN MUALAF DI PUSAT PENGAJIAN PERKIM WILAYAH PERSEKUTUAN

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of depression among mualaf. The study was conducted at the PERKIM, Wilayah Persekutuan. The study population was composed 50 people from Wilayah Persekutuan. The instrument used is an adaption of the Beck Depression Inventory by Beck (1994). Data were analysed using Statistical packagefor Social Science(SPSS) version 1.8. Descriptive analysis was used to analyse the frequency, percentage and mean. Inferential analysis involves the analysis of the t-test to test the difference between level of depression and mualaf sex. The result showed that the level of depression among mualaf at moderate level. T-test results showed no-signifcant difference in the level of depression between mualaf male and female. The symptom showed that “pass failure†was higher symptom among mualaf.
