Abstract
This paper presents a brief review of the emergence of the Shia as a school of thought in Islam. The study found that the initial seed bred Shiite birth existed at the time of the appointment of Abu Bakr as caliph despite early signs of the failure to disclose a sectarian Shiite politics and faith. Political turmoil Shiite leadership does not end so far as supporters of Ali bin Abi Talib keeping in view that the issue of leadership after the death of the Prophet is the prerogative of Ali bin Abi Talib and his offspring. The credibility and success of Abu Bakr and 'Umar to lead the well-born Shiite managed to contain up to 'Uthman came to power. The intervention of various parties, especially the role of Abdullah bin Saba' fanning the supporters of Ali to continue their struggle for the right to the position of caliph until the emergence of several trends such as al-Imami Shia al-Ithna 'Ashariyya , al-Zaydiyyah , al-Ismāīlīyyah and al-Seid.
