History
The Journal of Islam and Applied Sciences (JIAS) is an open-access, double-blind peer-reviewed journal planned by the Department of Fiqh-Usul and Applied Sciences, Academy of Islamic Studies, University of Malaya (APIUM), Malaysia. It is established in line with the Applied Science with Islamic Studies Program and the Falak Program at APIUM.
JIAS provides a platform for high-quality research in Islamic Sciences, promoting an interdisciplinary approach that integrates scientific knowledge with Islamic studies. The journal publishes original research in falak, applied sciences, ethics in science, and interdisciplinary studies between science and Islamic scholarship.
The journal is published twice a year and accepts submissions in English and Bahasa Malaysia, aiming for indexing in international databases and contributing to global scholarly discourse.
