Peer Review

Peer Review Process

Full Confidentiality
Each article submitted to Journal of Islam and Applied Sciences (JIAS) will be handled with full confidentiality. Submissions are initially reviewed by the Managing Editor on a case-by-case basis.

Journal Guarantees
JIAS guarantees that the merit of an article will be evaluated independently of the fame or status of the corresponding author or co-authors.

Confidentiality
When the Editorial Board determines that a submission meets the basic requirements of the journal (see Submission Guidelines), the article will be sent to two blind peer reviewers appropriate to the subject matter. The author’s name will be kept confidential to prevent biased evaluation.

Number of Reviewers
The journal ensures that authors remain anonymous to reviewers. Authors are encouraged to suggest at least 2 potential reviewers (up to 5 is welcomed) who are experts in the field. This helps expedite the editorial and review process and allows timely publication.

Unacceptable Articles
If only one reviewer finds the submission unacceptable, the article will be sent to an additional reviewer for a final assessment. This assists the Editorial Board in making a fair decision regarding publication in JIAS.

Final Draft
Final edits are sent to the Editorial Board members and proofreaders to ensure accountability and correctness. If any technical errors are found, the editor will request corrections from the author.

Time Frame of Reviewing Process
The review process typically takes 2–3 months from submission to completion of publication.

Information on Publication
Authors will be notified via official email once all publication processes are completed.
