The Cosmological Miracle of Agriculture in the Light of the Qur’an and the Mechanism for Benefiting from It in Modern Science

Abstract

Knowledge of agricultural formation is among the matters needed by human beings, especially in relation to agriculture and plants in general. Allah, the Exalted, has mentioned the reality of miraculous aspects in the knowledge of agricultural formation in the Noble Qur’an. Agricultural and Qur’anic studies have demonstrated that there are miraculous elements in certain aspects of agricultural formation. Naturally, humanity’s need for such knowledge confirms its importance within society, as understanding it enhances the overall benefits derived from agriculture. The problem, however, is that some people pay little attention to the knowledge contained in the Qur’an, while others do not consider it a reference for understanding agricultural formation. Another group is fascinated by modern discoveries and overlooks the agricultural knowledge found in the Qur’an; some may be aware of it but show little interest and only apply it out of necessity, particularly in matters related to agricultural formation. This study aims to establish the Qur’an as a foundational reference for all fields of knowledge, especially with regard to agricultural formation. It also seeks to clarify the mechanisms for benefiting from it within society, using the methods of induction, analysis, and discussion. The researchers found that there are divine indications concerning agricultural formation that point to practical mechanisms which can be implemented in real-life agricultural practices. The study concludes that it is more appropriate for agricultural practitioners and others to turn their attention to the Qur’an and adopt it as the primary source of knowledge concerning agricultural formation in general. Indeed, nothing is mentioned by Allah except for its importance and for the benefits it holds for society.
