Journal of Al-Tamaddun (JAT) is an open-access, peer-reviewed research journal published by the Department of Islamic History and Civilization, Academy of Islamic Studies, Universiti Malaya. JAT published high-quality research articles and book reviews within the scope of Islamic History and Civilization.

Volume 17 No. 2 (2022) of JAT was available online on 21 December 2022 with 20 full length papers and 3 book review. Articles in this issue were authored by 54 authors from multiple affiliations and 7 countries i.e: Malaysia, Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Turkiye, Nigeria and Brunei.
