January–June 2026 Edition
The Editors of the Journal of Islamic Educational Research (JIER) invite scholars and researchers to submit original manuscripts on Islamic education, both globally and with specific reference to Malaysia.
This edition aims to bring together academics from diverse disciplinary backgrounds to explore the impact of the pandemic on the delivery of Islamic education. Preference will be given to evidence-based studies that address, but are not limited to, the following areas:
Teaching and Learning
Curriculum Development
Pedagogical Practices
Philosophy of Islamic Education
Educational Psychology
Technology-Enhanced Instruction
e-Learning
Blended Learning
Interdisciplinary Studies
Special Education
Submission Guidelines: Authors are required to submit their submissions through e-mail at jier@um.edu.my. The authors should indicate in their cover letter that the manuscript is for the 'JIER 2026 Edition'. Interested authors are asked to first review the Journal's guidelines and policies at https://ejournal.um.edu.my/index.php/JIER/about/submissions.
All submitted papers will undergo the journal’s standard peer-review process. Manuscripts will be evaluated based on their academic quality and their relevance to the aims and scope of the journal. Accepted papers are expected to be published within two months of acceptance, with the latest publication scheduled by the end of June 2026 for the first edition.
