Abstract

This study is aimed at identifying the level of Professional Learning Community of Malaysian Malay Language teachers. In this study, a total of 450 teachers from 42 schools participated as samples of this study. The study is a quantitative research using survey methods. The data were collected through a questionnaire that was administered to the respondents. The instrument used is the result of Fuzzy Delphi method based on the concensus of 12 experts. Quantitative data were analyzed using SPSS version 23.0 and SEM Amos version 23.0. The findings show that the level of professional learning practice of Malay language teacher in Malaysia is high in each dimension based on the overall average score (Mean = 3.99, SP = 0.526). The findings also show that there is a significant influence between the nine dimensions of PLCs. It is hoped that the findings of this study provides a positive impact to the PLC's practices in school and serve as a guideline for teachers to further improve the quality of teaching and student learning performance as well as school achievement.
