The Online Journal of Research in Islamic Studies (RIS) operates as a strictly non-commercial academic publication. The journal does not generate income through article processing charges (APCs), submission fees, publication fees, subscription payments, advertising, sponsorships, institutional promotions, or commercial partnerships.

RIS does not accept financial contributions that could influence editorial direction, peer review, or publication decisions. The journal’s operational and editorial activities are conducted independently of commercial interests, ensuring that all scholarly assessments are based solely on academic merit, ethical standards, and relevance to the journal’s scope.

This model preserves the integrity, neutrality, and intellectual independence of the publication process.
