Publication Schedule

The Online Journal of Research in Islamic Studies (RIS) adheres to a structured and consistent publication timetable designed to ensure reliability, editorial quality, and timely dissemination of scholarly research.

RIS publishes two issues per year, corresponding to one volume per calendar year. Each volume comprises:

  • Issue 1 : released by the end of June

  • Issue 2 : released by the end of December

This schedule has been in effect since 2022, when RIS adopted a biannual model to enhance editorial rigor, review quality, and publication planning. Prior to this period, the journal operated under a triannual publication frequency.

All issues are published online under the journal’s full open-access policy, ensuring immediate and unrestricted access upon release. While RIS maintains the above schedule as its standard publication framework, the journal reserves the right to publish special issues or thematic collections where academically justified, without altering the regular issue structure.

The editorial office works to ensure that accepted manuscripts are processed and prepared in accordance with this timeline, subject to the completion of peer review, revisions, and production procedures.
