Aims and Scope

The International Journal of Shariah in Economics and Governance (IJSEG) is an international, interdisciplinary, and multidisciplinary scholarly journal dedicated to advancing research and critical understanding of Shariah, economics, governance, management, public affairs, and related fields. The journal provides a platform for rigorous theoretical, empirical, conceptual, and policy-oriented scholarship informed by Islamic intellectual, ethical, and normative traditions.

IJSEG seeks to foster interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary scholarship that brings Islamic perspectives into meaningful dialogue with contemporary economics, political science, public administration, management, social sciences, law, policy studies, and related disciplines. Submissions are particularly encouraged where they demonstrate methodological rigour, theoretical significance, practical relevance, and meaningful interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary engagement with contemporary issues through Islamic intellectual and ethical perspectives.

IJSEG does not restrict its scope to a particular geographical region and welcomes high-quality scholarship addressing local, national, regional, and global questions relevant to Shariah, economics, governance, and related fields.
