Abstract
The subject of the study is “The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its Efforts to Develop the Holy Qur’an Memorization Halaqahs.” What prompted the researcher to this topic was that it sheds light on the Holy Qur’an which is the source of education and the way of life. If the nation follows the Prophet’s Companions’ understanding of the Qur’anic verses, it will have distinction and sovereignty as it was for our ancestors before. The problem of the study sheds light on the great care and valuable efforts provided by the government of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the groups of the Holy Qur’an memorization. This care stems from the Kingdom’s keenness to take care of the Allah Almighty’s Book in terms of learning and teaching. Therefore, this study aimed to present the efforts undertaken by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in developing the Holy Qur’an memorization. The researcher used the descriptive approach to achieve the desired results of the study. The research concluded with some results, the most important of which are as follows: The KSA’s concern makes us feel assured about the Holy Qur’an memorization Halaqahs because a country which was founded on monotheism, and made its constitution in governance the Noble Qur’an and the Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him, will surely stand as an impenetrable dam in the face of those who try to tamper with the Holy Qur’an memorization Halaqahs and the institutions based on it. The Holy Quran memorization Halaqahs and schools are of the best means of calling to Allah. In addition, the charity societies have carried out their tasks entrusted to them with a sincere desire to develop their work, intensify their efforts, and spread their Qur’an Halaqahs and schools so that they can produce their blessed fruits. Moreover, the Qur’anic institutions seek to improve the Halaqahs’ performance educationally and academically by training the teachers and supervisors on a set of necessary skills in terms of teaching methods, Halaqah management, and communication skill, which make the performance of the Quranic circle positively productive.
