Ethics and Malpractice Statement
International Journal of Quranic Research (QURANICA) adheres to the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing. Authors are expected to comply with ethical guidelines, including originality of content, citation and referencing, and disclosure of potential conflicts of interest. Plagiarism and other forms of academic misconduct will not be tolerated. The ethics statements for our journal are based on the Ethical Code of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and in any event of research misconduct relating to a published article in Quranica, the editor shall follow COPE’s guideline in dealing with allegations. Many of the statements on ethics are included in the Chief and Managing Editor, Reviewer and Authors responsibilities. The following are other related ethics and malpractice statements:
Handling of Unethical Publishing Behavior
In cases of alleged or proven scientific misconduct, fraudulent publication or plagiarism, the publisher, in close collaboration with the editors, will take all appropriate measures to clarify the situation and to amend the article in question. This includes the prompt publication of an erratum, clarification or, in the most severe cases, the retraction of the affected work.
Publisher’s Confirmation
In cases of alleged or proven misconduct, the publisher will provide the necessary support to the editors to ensure the integrity of the academic record.
Plagiarism and Ethical Guidelines
Authors are expected to submit original work and adhere to ethical guidelines set forth by the Editorial Board of Quranica. Plagiarism detection software is used to identify any instances of plagiarism. Allegations of misconduct are addressed to Quranica Chief of Editor.
Conflict of Interest and Ethical Guidelines
Editors are expected to adhere to ethical publishing practices and declare any conflicts of interest related to submitted manuscripts. They should maintain the confidentiality of the peer review process and avoid bias.
