Discussions on tariqah in the Malaysian context, particularly in the state of Kelantan, generally refer to the Ahmadiyyah order. In this regard, Kelantan is similar to Negeri Sembilan, as the Ahmadiyyah order is the only tariqah found to have established a wide presence in both states. This study examines the figures who propelled the Ahmadiyyah order in Kelantan under the guidance of Sidi Muhammad Azahari, as the pioneer, consolidator, and continuator of his legacy. The study identifies the scholars who were his students and who formed the groups that pioneered, strengthened, and continued the development of the Ahmadiyyah order in Kelantan. This qualitative study employs data collection and data analysis methods. To obtain accurate data, library research and interviews were conducted. The findings reveal several students and localities that became centres of Ahmadiyyah activities after the time of Sidi Muhammad Azahari. These include Lorong Tok Semian in Kota Bharu, led by Haji Nik Abdullah Tuan Tabal; Jalan Merbau, led by Haji Ahmad Mannan; Kampung Kubang Pasu, led by Haji Abdus Salam Muhammad; Kampung Bechah Keranji, Peringat, led by Haji Muhammad Amin (Wak Min); and Bukit Abal, led by Haji Daud Omar al-Libadi. It is hoped that this study will attract the interest of students and open avenues for other researchers and historians to explore more deeply the various aspects of the Ahmadiyyah order in Kelantan.
