Security and Information Applications (JSIA) is an open-access journal. All articles are freely available to read, download and share immediately upon publication.

Copyright

Copyright of articles published in JSIA is held by the journal, Security and Information Applications (JSIA), published by the Centre of Research for Cyber Security and Network (CSNET), Universiti Malaya. On acceptance, the corresponding author signs the JSIA Copyright Transfer Agreement on behalf of all authors. Each published article carries the notice: Copyright (c) [year] Security and Information Applications.

Rights retained by authors

• To be identified as the authors of the article.
• To reuse the article, in whole or in part, in their thesis, teaching, books and later works, with a citation to JSIA.
• To post the preprint, accepted manuscript and published version in institutional or subject repositories and on personal websites, with a link to the published article.
• To retain patent and other intellectual property rights in any process or method described.

Funder mandates

Authors whose funder or institution requires them to retain copyright (for example, Plan S, UKRI or Wellcome) may choose the Licence to Publish option in the agreement. They keep copyright and grant JSIA an exclusive licence to publish the article under CC BY 4.0.

Licence

Articles are published under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits unrestricted use, distribution and reproduction in any medium, provided the original authors and the initial publication in JSIA are properly credited.

Fees

JSIA does not charge any article processing charges (APC) or submission fees.
